More about Girard Perregaux:

Girard-Perregaux can trace its beginnings to 1791 and is based in La Chaux-deFonds, Switzerland. The name manufacture’s name was the result of the 1854 marriage of Constant Girard and Marie Perregaux, a union of two, prominent Swiss watchmaking families.

The present chronograph is equipped with the famed Valjoux calibre 72, which was used to power many of the best known and highly collectible chronographs of the midcentury.
