More about Panerai:
In 2010, Panerai released the Special Edition Marina Militare, with a composite case. The composite was the result of a specific electrochemical process that ceramizes aluminum. The end result is a material that is harder than ceramic and at the same time lighter than (already) lightweight materials like steel and titanium.
The movement was a new caliber, the P2002/7, which features 3 barrels to provide a long power reserve of eight days. This is indicated on the dial with the text “8 Giorni Brevatto”, a nod at the historic models Panerai produced for the Italian Navy. The combination of an innovative movement and case with design based on military watches made the PAM339 a popular model at its release. Produced in a limited edition of 1500 examples, the present Marina Militare is a modern Panerai with a classic look and feel.
