Read more about Pita Barcelona:
Pita Barcelona was created by Ancieto Pita in 1990, a self-taught watchmaker based out of Gaudi, Barcelona. Mr. Pita designs all of the watches himself, and his family help him with the business. Each Pita Barcelona watch is customizable and made to order, a rarity in today's market. A member of the AHCI (Academie Horlogere des Createurs Independants), Mr. Pita strives to produce fine watches that feature unusual designs while incorporating technological innovations that make the watch appear simplistic.
The Minimal model features a symmetrical case with no crown, and is available in several variations - including lugs vs. hooded lug as in the present watch, and with one, two , or three hands. It features Pita's patened Pita-TSM System for setting the time, which is done through the case back - turning the case back adjusts the time.
The present Minimal watch tells time through one single hand - square markers indicate the hour, and the three rectangular markers in between the square markers indicate the quarter hours (15, 30 and 45), and the outermost markers indicate 5-minute intervals.
Pita Barcelona watches encompass everything about being an independent watchmaker - handmaking unique, innovative watches and offering customization, the opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind watch. The present Minimal watch is an incredibly wearable yet very unusual watch, certain to be a conversation-starter.
