Fine, water resistant, stainless radium dial steel wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers.
Case: Three body, polished, curved lugs, rounded bezel, screwed down case back.
Dial: Matte black and grey with applied Radium luminous Arabic numerals, outer minutes/seconds track, subsidiary dials for the seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hour register. Luminous steel lozenge hands.
Movement: Rhodium plated, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, shock absorber, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed.

Tissot was founded in 1853 by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Émile Tissot in the Swiss city of Le Locle, in the Neuchâtel area of the Jura Mountains. Tissot introduced the first mass-produced pocket watch as well as the first pocket watch with two time zones in 1853 and the first anti-magnetic watch in 1929–30.
Galli Uhren has been a watch retailer in Zurich since 1882. It was founded by Paul Galli with a five hundred Swiss francs starting capital, he bought a few used pocket watches that he refurbished and displayed in the store window. That was his entire inventory. His main line of business, however, was not selling watches but repairing them. Since Zurich was a city with a strong contingent of foreign residents including roughly a third who were German citizens, Paul succeeded in quickly building up a loyal clientele. Galli has been a Tissot retailer for over 100 years.
This chronograph has amazing patina which makes it quite unique. A waterproof case and an excellent well finished movement. A great daily watch with excellent provenance.
