More about Angelus:

Angelus was founded 1891 in Le Locle by two brothers named Stolz, and by the early 20th century focused on developing complications for wristwatches. As their reputation for designing quality complicated wristwatches grew, so did demand. Nevertheless, like many other companies, Angelus was unable to compete and folded during the Quartz crisis. It has since been resurrected and currently produces high end tourbillons.

The Chronodato was introduced in the middle of World War 2 and was the first production wristwatch to combine the chronograph complication with a triple date calendar. This model is recognizable by a large aperture for the month at 12 o’clock  and day of the week at 6 o’clock. The model was very successful and was later replaced in the mid 1950's with a model that incorporated a moon phase and a big date, called the Chronodato deluxe.

At 38mm, the Chronodato is the ideal triple calendar chronograph. With its large apertures it offers great legibility, and large case size desirable in modern times. A vintage watch at an affordable price. this example is in great condition and sure to appeal to many.
