More about Hamilton:

Hamilton G.S. (General Service) watches were specifically made for the United Kingdom general services. They were actually issued to government personnel, that were not military. These watches were used by a number of government agencies overseas, foreign and commonwealth NGO's  that from the mid 60's to the late 70's. They also acted as a cover for a number of former military men who helped Nations organize their own security and law enforcement on behalf of HM government such as the present watch used by the Abu Dhabi Defense Force. Some people call the GS Hamilton, the  watch of British spies.

The watch has all the characteristics of an early Mark XI watch but has a few improvement from its predecessor. It is also anti-magnetic but to 150 Oersted. It is water resistant, shockproof, and temperature compensated. It is fitted with KIF shock protection.

This watch is the last remaining mechanical wristwatch issued to troops around the World before servicemen were fitted with cheaper quartz  watches. It is still a very inexpensive Mark type, selling at the same price a JLC or IWC  Mark XI were selling 20 years ago. A fantastic watch for your money with in house movement, provenance and History, grab one before it is too late.
