More about IWC:

IWC first launched the Aquatimer in 1967. Released in response to the increasing demand for dive watches, the Aquatimer--the brand's first dive watch--was water resistant to 200 meters. This first Aquatimer featured a screw-down crown and case back, in addition to the internal rotating bezel that would become a hallmark of the Aquatimer line.

The ref. 3767 Galapagos Islands special edition was launched in 2009, in tribute to the partnership with the Charles Darwin Foundation established that same year. The Charles Darwin Foundation, founded in 1959, seeks to protect the invaluable ecosystem of the Galapagos Islands that so influenced the work of Charles Darwin. The Aquatimer Galapagos special edition comprised part of a run of only 500 pieces. Coated with matte black rubber applied in a special vulcanization process, the Aquatimer Galapagos Special Edition is highly scratch-resistant, designed to withstand the rigors of diving.
