More about Ochs und Junior:

Ochs Und Junior was founded in 2006 by Ludwig Oechslin, the man behind some of the most unique manufactured watches, including the Ulysse Nardin Freak model. Oechslin created the brand to be able to produce watches of his own design and interests, which in contrast to the unusual watches he had previously designed, were remarkably simplified. The selene Tinta Moonphase displays the date and a moon phase with an accuracy of 3,478 years.  It is has a epicyclic gear train which houses a combination of wheel bearings and pinions which makes the moon phase extremely accurate. Yet the design is cost efficient and allows the watch to remain affordable.

The sun is represented at 12 o'clock by a rather large static brass dot while the moon appears in a crescent-shape aperture and gives the watch a very poetic dial. The production of Ochs und Junior is limited to 150 watches per year  and are sold exclusively in the Lucerne Boutique.  it is a rather rare independent Swiss maker which makes affordable watches with interesting and original complications.  At our price point this represent extremely good value.
