More about Omega:
In the late 1940s, Omega introduced the Cosmic line of watches, which featured triple date and moon phase complications. This was Omega’s first calendar watch that would display the time and date with hands, and the day, month, and moon phase in windows, which makes for an uncluttered and balanced dial design. Available in both stainless steel and gold cases, and a number of dial variations, the Cosmic appealed to many as a classic complicated dress watch.
The Cosmic line was eventually discontinued, but vintage examples have become popular in modern times as a subtle dress alternative to some of the brand’s more sporty and recognizable lines. The present example features a beautifully preserved dial with bright blue date numerals that is further enhanced by the warm gold case with crisp lines.
