A handsome, sporty, and oversized limited-edition doppelchronograph (double chronograph) pilot’s watch with automatic winding from IWC, Ref. IW379901.
Case: Black, matte ceramic case measuring 46mm in diameter. Thickness: 15.8mm. Water resistance of 60 meters. Titanium pushers, screw-down crown, and caseback. Sapphire crystal. “Top Gun” signature on side. Caseback signed “Top Gun United States Navy Fighter Weapons School.”
Bracelet: Textile bracelet with IWC-signed clasp.
Dial: Black dial luminous Arabic numerals and indices. Day and date windows at 3 o’clock. Thirty-minute counter at 12 o’clock, 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, and small seconds at 9 o’clock.
Movement: Self-winding, IWC caliber 79230. Split chronograph. 44 hours of power reserve. 28,800 Vph (4 Hz). 29 Jewels. Côtes de Genève and perlage finishing. Closed case back.

The Doppelchronograph's split-seconds complication was implemented in the early 1990s. This technically challenging complication, which had been unseen for decades.
This ingenious design showed that the rebirth of watchmaking was happening not only in the upper-echelon of watch manufactures, but also in smaller watchmaking companies throughout Switzerland.
