More about Vacheron Constantin:
Vintage Vacheron Constantin wristwatches are often characterized by their charismatic yet classic case designs, which differentiates them from other vintage watches of the time. From the 1950’s through the 1970’s, many watch brands saw an increase in interest in very thin cases. Because of its technical to achieve production of such watches only a very few manufacture achieved productions. These watches were more sleek and inspired by simplicity, and they began producing more ultra-thin case.
From the 1940’s through the 1960’s, Vacheron Constantin would only make at most 24 examples of a reference in one configuration – so while they produced a variety of dial and case combinations/colors and designs, each one was extremely limited. The use of so many varied designs with limited pieces produced is what so many find appealing about collecting vintage Vacheron Constantin watches. Ultra thin time-only pieces set a standard for technical achievements, allowing the wearer to appreciate how the case and dial design elements take center stage while the entire watch was nearly as thin as paper.
